Originally purchased in Montreal from Continental Galleries sometime during the 1940’s and descended to the current owner since the 1950’s.
F.S. Coburn was born in Upper Melbourne, Quebec in 1871. From about 1890 until 1916 he lived in Europe, most of that time in Antwerp, Holland. When he returned to Canada, he maintained homes in Upper Melbourne and in Montreal.
