Guy W Calkins
The artist, William H. Schwarz, was born in Berlin in 1907. He was trained to be a baker in Germany and arrived in New York City in 1929. He baked wedding cakes for many NYC hotels.
He moved to Spencertown, NY and set up a studio there. He died in 1967 and is buried in Spencertown.
I have a few of his paintings and would like to know which paintings you have, could you send photos?
My family visited and knew him.
