Signed Riviere binding of full red calf, gilt-ruled covers and heavily decorated spine. Very light wear. All edges gilt. Interior clean and tight. One exception of a single fingerprint (from Flint?) on plate between pages 304 & 305; otherwise very nice. 8 5/8" tall. - $450

Both Volumes bound in full tan Morocco leather with gilt ruled and ornamented covers and spines with five raised hubs and six compartments. All fore-edges gilt. Bindings are signed "Asper Freres." Bindings are very attractive with some light wear to the extremities; corners bumped. Interiors are tight and clean. 7" tall. - $1250

Bound in full green morocco leather; blind and gilt-tooled on covers and spines in signed bindings by Cedric Chivers. There is some light wear to the extremities with Vols. XI and V having light chipping at the spine top and scratches on the front cover of Vol. XI. Otherwise, a very attractive set. Interiors are tight and clean except for some foxing and toning focused at the first few and last few plates. Residual signs of past bookplates inside on paste-downs. Vol. I contains an original watercolor of the Cowper home as the frontispiece. Overall an attractive set. 6 5/8" tall. - $950
